Sculpting With Light

Alex’s studio at Ushaw College has been stocked, supplied, and is in the process of being assembled. With lots of space across the corridor, the studio provision is fantastic. And the work has been beginning on the sculpture and supporting artwork. The staff and colleagues at Ushaw could not have been more welcoming, and it is a place humming with energy and potential. We met Jules and Rachel who are restoring and re-planting the massive walled gardens at Ushaw (and whose pigs move in next week!). The summer programme of activities for Sculpting with Light at Ushaw is almost complete, and we’ll circulate as soon finished.

In the meantime we were able to showcase today Alex’s connection to Durham University, as part of the History Department’s display at the Faculty of Arts and Humanities Celebration of Research. Lots of exposure for the project, and good advice as well. If you…
